1.What do people like to do when they are travelling?
2.What benefits do tourism bring to cities?
3.Why do young people like to live in cities?
4.Why do some people do not like cities?
based on my observation, most people would love to try local food when they travel to a place that they have never been before. Also, they like to visit some tourist resorts and take some pictures to keep the memory. Some, however, just enjoy the beach style. They could lie on the beach for the whole day to get tan. Some, in comparison, prefer to visit museums. There are many museums that are free. It’s quite popular for students who have limited budget. There is another thing that people are crazy about when they travel, which is shopping especially when people travel abroad. There are so many things they want to buy.
In my view, tourism can bring so many benefits to cities. One important one is that a lot of working opportunities will be offered such as cooking, helping, tour guiding etc. This will definitely benefit those who are struggling to find a job. Another benefit I can think about is that tourism will attract people from outside to understand local culture better. Many may even fall in love with the city and decide to settle down or even invest some business there. That is good for the reputation and future development of the city.
There are quite a few reasons. A very important one is that there are various malls where people can visit on their day off. A big mall offers not only supermarkets and restaurants, but also recreational places for kids and all kinds of shops including clothes shops, jewellery shops etc. Malls alone could be attractive enough for young people to choose to stay in cities. Besides, there are definitely more working opportunities in cities than in the countryside. After receiving education in cities, many young graduates would choose to work in big cities to seek their dreams. If they lose a job, they can always apply for a new one. In comparison, there are much less choices in the countryside.
It’s understandable why some people are not so desperate in living in cities. Firstly, cities are usually crowded and noisy. Subway stations are full of people. Streets are filled with cars. For some senior people who have been living in small places the whole life, they would get panic when visiting a city. The air quality is also not as good as that in the countryside. I guess some people prefer to live in a place where they can see stars at night. It’s hardly possible in cities. What’s more, it always takes a long time to travel in a city. Some people suffer from the long commuting time and eventually choose to live in a small town. I can totally feel how they feel.
